Returns and Exchange Policies

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at support@bornthreads.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

 

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Exchanges for a different size is only applicable for available sizes. As designs are limited and may run out of stock fast, we advice customers to measure and choose the best fit from our Sizing Chart.
  • Exchanges will be subjected to the availability of the product. If it is out of stock, we are unable to do the exchange for you. 
  • Exchanges will only be applicable to all Singapore orders.
  • There will strictly be NO cash refunds.
  • All exchange requests must be submitted via email only to support@bornthreads.com within 7 days from the date of delivery.
  • All exchanged items must be unworn, unwashed and complete with original tags and/or packaging.
  • We regret to inform you that we will not be able to accept any exchange requests if we are not notified within the stipulated time frame.
    We reserve the rights to amend this policy at any time.

 

HOW TO REQUEST FOR EXCHANGE

Please use the following as a template for an exchange request:

Once the request has been approved by us, you will receive instructions to mail the item back to us via a trackable mode of postage OR make the exchange at our headquarters.
We regret to inform you that we will not be able to accept any exchange requests if we are not notified by the stipulated time frame (7 days from date of reception)



CONDITIONS TO QUALIFY FOR EXCHANGE (DEFECTIVE/INCORRECT PRODUCT GIVEN)

  • Defective/incorrect products(s) will be exchanged for a new piece in the same design, size & colour. There will be no exchanges for a different colour, size or product. (Example: Jujutsu Kaisen VOL 1 size S will be exchanged for a new Jujutsu Kaisen VOL 1 size S).
  • All incorrect/ defective item(s) for exchange must be in its original condition received; unscented, unworn, unwashed, unaltered.
    If the product has been used or damaged by the customer, there will be no exchange. We reserve the rights to reject an exchange if the returned product(s) is not in the condition as described (defective).
  • All incorrect/ defective item(s) for exchange must be mailed back to us via a trackable mode of postage, unless the exchange is to be made in-person at our headquarters. More information on the preferred delivery method will be advised via email. Instructions on the return delivery have to be followed closely.
  • All postage costs will be covered by bornthreads.com and will be refunded via Paynow/bank transfer. We reserve the rights to not reimburse the postage fees if instructions on preferred return delivery method is not followed closely.
  • A clear photo of the postage receipt(s) has to be submitted via email within 3 days after the postage has been made. We reserve the rights to not reimburse the postage fees if the receipt sent is not clear with the correct date of postage.
  • We will not be responsible for lost items during the transit.
    For exchanges done in-person at our headquarters, please arrange/book an appointment with us via our email before heading down.

 

CONDITIONS TO QUALIFY FOR EXCHANGE (CHANGE OF SIZE)

  • There will strictly be no exchanges for accessories, bags, sale/ discounted items.
  • Exchanges for a different size will be applicable for the same product in the same colour only. (Example: Jujutsu Kaisen VOL 1 size S can be exchanged for a Jujutsu Kaisen VOL 1 size M).
  • Exchanges in sizes are subjected to the availability of the product. We will not be able to do an exchange in size if the size you request for runs out of stock.
  • All product(s) for exchange must be in its original condition received; unscented, unworn, unwashed, unaltered.
    If the product has been used or damaged by the customer, there will be no exchange.
  • All exchange requests will be subjected to approval. We reserve the rights to reject an exchange if the product runs out of stock or if the returned product is not in its original condition.
  • Each product can only be exchanged once.
  • All product(s) have to be mailed back to us / made in-person at our headquarters (address will be given upon submitting an exchange request)
  • All postage costs are to be covered by the customer (to and fro)
    We will not be responsible for any lost mails during the transit. Please do opt for a traceable mode of postage to prevent lost mails.
  • For exchanges done in-person at our headquarters, please arrange/book an appointment with us via our email before heading down.

 

MEASUREMENTS VARIANCE
Do note that the measurements stated may vary by 1-3 cm in our given measurements.
Variance will not be considered as a defect. Requests for exchange for this reason will not be accepted.


COLOURED PRODUCTS
Colours shown on screen may have a slight variance on different screens as different devices have different specifications and resolutions. As such, colours may appear slightly different from what is shown on site; this applies especially for brighter hues. For better accuracy, bornthreads.com minimises the use of strong filters that will mislead the colours shown on screen. Requests for return due to such reasons will be rejected.

PRINTED PRODUCTS
Do allow slight variance for printed items, as each individual piece may appear differently due to fabric placement. Requests for exchange for this reason will not be accepted.
